We only use sesame, pumpkin and hemp seeds in our restaurant and the only oils we use are olive, canola, sesame or coconut.

However, there may be other products in our kitchen which have been processed in facilities that are not nut-free.

Ima is not a halal restaurant.

However, our sister concept SuperCrisp is fully halal — bringing bold flavors, hand-crafted sauces, and Ima's energy to street food: burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, loaded fries, wings, and more. SuperCrisp is located at 4830 Cass Ave, just a short walk from our Midtown location on the Wayne State campus.

Ima has an extensive vegan and vegetarian menu, clearly labeled.

All udon and ramen broths can be made with vegan broth upon request.

Vegan and vegetarian options span every category — soups, noodles, rice bowls, yaki udon, appetizers and dessert.

Gluten-free options are available and labeled on the menu.

Ima Midtown has a dedicated gluten-free fryer.

While we do not have a dedicated gluten-free kitchen, our staff are meticulous about cleaning between preparations and using separate utensils to avoid cross-contamination.

Upon arrival, please alert a manager of your dietary needs so they can notify the kitchen.

Our servers are also very knowledgeable about the menu and will gladly guide you to gluten-free choices.
